Anti Ageing Treatment

Wrinkle Reduction

Botulinum Toxin is a popular and safe solution to troublesome Expression lines and wrinkles, especially those found on the forehead and around the eyes.
Botulinum Toxin is often also called BOTOX, it works to temporarily reduce and/or remove lines by freezing the muscle. Repeated treatments often lead to a residual lessening of lines and wrinkles. All our wrinkle smoothing treatments are performed by highly qualified Doctors and nurses with years of experience in the non-surgical cosmetics field. At R.M. Aesthtics, we only use the best products and procedures that are clinically proven to be safe…

The Treatment

A small amount of BOTOX/ Botulinum Toxin is  injected around the area with a very fine needle. Depending on the area to be treated, an anaesthetic cream may be applied prior to your treatment, however most people find this is not required as discomfort is minimal.

Later Progress

The results of your treatment normally begin to show within 14 days with peak effect at day 7. Repeat treatment is often necessary every 4-6 months, although this can vary on an individual basis and often extends with repeated treatments. After the procedure, you should expect a little swelling and redness around the area, but this will subside over the following few days.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers, also called skin plumpers, are an excellent treatment to fill fine lines and wrinkles. They enhance contours and facial volume and also improve skin structure and elasticity.

What are the Benefits of Dermal Fillers

With the natural ageing process and some environmental factors, our skin loses its plumpness. With age, fine lines become deeper and our skin loses the volume it once had. Dermal fillers, also called skin plumpers, are an excellent treatment to fill these lines and replace volume.

How does dermal filler work?

Dermal fillers replace the collagen which is lost due to natural ageing or skin damage. This results in smoothing of wrinkles and tightening of skin.

What does dermal filler treatment involve?

At RM Aesthtics, we use the new generation of fillers. These fillers are of a viscous consistencies-thinner or thicker and mimic the skin’s natural collagen. The thin filler can be used over a larger area, giving a more natural appearance. The thicker fillers are used to fill the deeper areas such as cheeks, chin etc. Thus giving definitive contour to the face.

Products we use:

  • Juvederm Range
  • Restalyn Range

How long does the treatment session take?

A series of injections of filler are made in the area to be treated. This normally takes between 15 and 20 minutes to inject fillers depending on the area to be treated.  However additional 30-45 min may be required for applying local anaesthetic cream which numbs your pain. Else injection will be required to numb your pain carrying nerves.

After the treatment and recovery

Over the following few days, you may notice some swelling and bruising. This is completely normal and will pass in coming hours/days. You should avoid direct sunlight/heat and saunas for at least eight hours after the treatment.

How long will the results last?

The effects of the filler will be immediately visible and it can last for between 9 and 18 months depending on the condition of your skin and type of filler used.

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel uses a chemical solution to smooth the texture of your skin by removing the damaged outer layers.

Although chemical peels are used mostly on the face, they can also be used to improve the skin on your neck and hands.

A chemical peel is one of the least invasive ways to improve the appearance of your skin. Sun exposure, acne, or just getting older can leave your skin tone uneven, wrinkled, spotted or scarred.

A chemical peel can help improve:

  • Acne or acne scars
  • Age and liver spots
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Freckles
  • Irregular skin pigmentation
  • Rough skin and scaly patches
  • Scars
  • Sun-damaged skin

How a chemical peel works

Chemical solutions are carefully applied to your skin to improve the texture by removing damaged outer layers.

The chemicals used are phenol, trichloroacetic acid, and alphahydroxy acids. The formula used by your doctor will be adjusted to meet your particular needs.

There are three types of chemical peels:

  • Light chemical peel - Subtle improvements at first, but that healthy glow will increase with more treatments
  • Medium chemical peel - Your skin will be noticeably smoother and fresher looking
  • Deep chemical peel - Results are dramatic, but recovery takes the longest
